It’s been a very long time since I’ve experienced the level of service I had at Nizuc. Requests were acknowledged and actioned immediately and everyone had their game face on when it came to our day to day experience. I could not recommend Nizuc more for those wishing for a peaceful, managed, escape!

Staying at the Nizuc Resort was a literal paradise experience. I do not have a single complaint about them. You get the full five star experience.
Starting with the hotel staff, they treat you like royalty, always opening doors for you, offering towels and umbrellas at the beach. They greet with genuine smiles, always assuring that they’re at your service. They seem to genuinely care about everyone.
They offer unlimited water bottles and ice. Room service comes twice a day.
The go cart system, to and from the lobby and rooms is unbelievably reliable. We have never waited for a cart more than 60 seconds. They somehow always show up when needed.
The kosher accommodations were top notch, food was amazing, staff was super respectful of our kosher needs, pointing out what is or isn’t kosher.
The beaches are gorgeous, the staff cleaned them from seaweed all day. The resort offers free kayaks and paddle boards and snorkelling activity. There are also jet skis for an additional charge.
Overall I can say this was my best resort experience so far, we look forward to returning very soon.

Their rooms are nicely appointed and laid out, but seem to be lacking in upkeep. We ran into plumbing issues basically every day.
The restaurants are mostly so-so (Ni is the best food, Terra is quite good with the best service) and they aren't open every day but they also don't announce what days they're closed. They're also a little obsessed with selling you overpriced bottles of water, which feels more than a little too nickel-and-dimey when you're already paying for luxury.
You should always be able to find an offer that includes 15% off food and beverage and free breakfast.
There's a new hotel being built that is right behind their two pools and very much overshadows them both.

My husband and I went to Nizuc for our baby moon and the resort was very very nice. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We upgraded our room to stay in a Villa and it was well worth the extra cost. Also the adult only pool was absolutely stunning! How close it is to the airport is really very very nice as well.
Some areas of improvement at Nizuc are:
The only water they have is Fiji and it’s $14 USD. Not even 1 bottle is not complimentary at any meal. I am pregnant and needed to drink a lot of water in order to stay healthy and not get dehydrated and after 5 days of having to buy multiple Fiji waters a day it was frustrating after how much we spent on our room/food.
Secondly, there is not a coffee shop and you were charged extra for everything other than the hot coffee served at breakfast. If you asked for an iced latte it was hot coffee poured over ice with small amount of milk. For it being a 5 star resort we were shocked there weren’t better coffee options or even a coffee shop.
Lastly, the prices for food were astronomical. We are from Chicago and have a very high standard of good quality food and know how much a good steak, etc. that is high quality cost. The food was good but for the price we spent every night (on average $350-$450 per meal) with little to no alcohol was quite shocking for us. There was no justification for how expensive it was. We anticipated $250 -$300 for a meal but we were never able to get below $350.

We’ve stayed at two resorts (Hawaii) before (three if counting NIZUC), and this one was amazing overall a 9/10 experience.
The only reason I’m taking away one star is that, as a family friendly resort, a mini fridge with a freezer compartment should really be offered. I ended up pumping nearly 150 oz of breastmilk during my stay, and while the staff kindly froze it for me, having that option in-room would have made things much easier.
This was my first time having a butler, and Javier was incredible. He even knew to freeze my milk flat for easier travel, such a thoughtful detail that made a huge difference. But as a father of 2 I'm not surprised.
The staff overall was fantastic. My husband and I didn’t bring cash for tipping since gratuity was included, but we didn’t realize just how many people would go out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Everyone was so polite and attentive that I almost felt bad asking for anything.
We did a couples massage that came out to $1,000 USD, so I highly recommend adding pricing to the spa booklet for transparency.
One thing that stood out was how peaceful the resort felt. Every time we got on the elevator, it was empty. It felt unreal.
Breakfast was easily our favorite part, the food was amazing (10/10). I was sad our last 2 days, the outside seating area was closed.
I also have a shellfish allergy and can't risk cross contamination. The staff took this seriously. Anytime I ordered fried food, they used fresh oil just for me. I truly appreciated the care they put into making me feel safe.
Another thing we noticed as Americans, we’re used to seeing kids at resorts being a bad, loud, annoying, but the kids here were so well behaved. It created a completely different, calm atmosphere. We really enjoyed and could definitely get used to.
We’ll definitely be back in a few years, this time with our son.
Overall: 9/10. Adding mini fridge/freezer combos and including spa pricing would make this a perfect 10.
